Nano Banana 2 runs on Gemini 3.1 Flash Image and brings much of Nano Banana Pro's quality to Flash speed. It renders accurate text inside images and can translate that text into another language. It edits images you attach, keeps characters and objects consistent across a workflow, and supports extra-wide and extra-tall formats such as 1:4, 4:1, 1:8 and 8:1. Output goes up to 4K.
Teams use it as the everyday image model: social formats in several aspect ratios, banner strips, product variations from a reference shot and fast rounds of edits on a draft. Drafts come back quickly, so you can try several directions before you render the final at 4K. In Endless it runs in chat and on the canvas.
Nano Banana 2.1 is the newer Flash model, with better design, editing and subject consistency. Nano Banana Pro is the higher-fidelity choice for the hardest briefs, and the original Nano Banana is the budget option at around 1K.
In your workspace, open Image and pick Nano Banana 2 in the model picker.
Write a prompt, and add reference images when you want to steer the subject, style or layout.
Generate, then refine in chat or on a canvas. Every result is saved to your workspace assets.
