Facebook video transcript generator
Turn a public Facebook video or reel into text you can read, search and reuse. Paste the link and Endless returns the transcript with timestamps.
What is a Facebook video transcript generator?
A Facebook video transcript generator turns the speech in a Facebook video or reel into written text. You give it the link, and it returns what was said in order, with timestamps so you can find each line in the video. Facebook does not give you a clean copy of a video's words, and many videos have no captions at all.
People transcribe Facebook videos for practical reasons. Page owners repurpose a live or a reel into a post, an email or a blog section. Marketers read how a competitor's video ad opens and what it asks viewers to do. Community managers and researchers keep a written record of what was said in a video, so they can quote it and search it later.
Endless transcribes public Facebook video links inside a chat workspace. It reads the video's captions when it has them, and generates a transcript with AI when it does not. Each transcript is saved in your workspace's Transcripts section, where you can search it and share it with your team, and you can ask follow-up questions in the same chat.
How it works
- 01
Paste the Facebook link
Copy the link of a public video or reel from the Facebook app or website, or a fb.watch link, and paste it into the box above.
- 02
Sign in and the prompt is ready
Create a free Endless account or sign in. You land in your workspace chat with a prompt already written from your link, and the agent starts the transcript.
- 03
Read the transcript and ask follow-ups
You get the text with timestamps, a short summary and the main points. Ask for a post, a translation or a list of questions viewers might ask in the same chat.
What people use it for
- 01
Repurpose your page's videos
Turn a video or reel your page already posted into a written post, an email or a blog section. The transcript gives the agent your real words, so the rewrite keeps your voice instead of starting from a blank page. Save your brand voice to a project so every rewrite follows it.
- 02
Break down a competitor's video ad
Transcribe a competitor's public video and read exactly how it opens, what it promises and how it closes. Ask the agent to label the hook, the offer and the call to action, then compare them with your own script.
- 03
Keep notes from a recorded live
A recorded Facebook live can run for an hour. Transcribe it and ask the agent for the main topics with their timestamps, the questions the host answered and any dates or prices mentioned, so you can skip to the part you need.
- 04
Pull exact quotes
When you write about an event, an interview or a statement posted on Facebook, you need the exact words. The timestamps show where each quote starts, so you can check it against the video and cite it correctly in an article or a report.
- 05
Translate a video
Get the transcript in the language spoken in the video, then ask the agent to translate it in the same chat and keep the timestamps. Your team gets a quick read of the video and a starting point for subtitles in another language.
- 06
Keep a searchable archive
Every transcript is saved in the Transcripts section of your workspace. Your team can search across them for a product name, a topic or a phrase, and share a transcript with a teammate instead of sending a video link and a timestamp.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get the transcript of a Facebook video?
Copy the link of the video or reel from Facebook, paste it into the box on this page and sign in to Endless. Your workspace chat opens with the request already written, and the agent returns the transcript with timestamps. The video must be public. You can then ask for a summary, quotes or a rewrite.
Is the Facebook video transcript generator free?
You can start free. Create a free Endless account and the Free plan gives your workspace 100 credits when you create it and 50 credits every week after that. Each transcript spends credits from that balance, and longer videos cost more. Paid plans add more credits.
How much does a Facebook video transcript cost?
It depends on the length of the video and on how the transcript is made. When the video has captions, transcription costs 0.2 credits per minute. When it has none, Endless generates the transcript with AI at 1.2 credits per minute. Each transcript costs at least 1 credit, and the chat shows what each run spent.
Does it separate speakers?
Not for Facebook links. A transcript from a Facebook link comes from the video's captions or from AI generation, and neither labels speakers. If you have the video file, upload it to your workspace instead: uploaded files are transcribed from the audio, with each speaker labeled and timestamps on every word.
Does it work with private videos or groups?
No. Endless only reads public Facebook videos, and it never asks for your Facebook password. Videos shared only with friends or inside a private group cannot be reached through a link. If you own the video, upload the file to your workspace and the agent transcribes that instead.
Can I download the Facebook video too?
No. Endless does not download videos from Facebook. It reads a public video to produce the transcript and keeps the text in your workspace. If you need the video file itself, use the one your page posted or ask the person who posted it.
Does it work with videos in other languages?
Yes. The transcript is written in the language spoken in the video. In the same chat, you can ask the agent to translate it into English or any other language, keep the timestamps, or write a post in the target language based on what was said.
