The best Runway alternatives in 2026 for AI video
Kling, Google Flow, Luma, Higgsfield, Pika, Hailuo and Endless: what each one offers instead of Runway, who it suits, what it costs and where it falls short.

Runway is one of the most complete AI video suites: its own Gen-4.5 and Aleph models, editing tools, Runway Ads, an API and team plans. People look for alternatives because they want a specific model Runway doesn't host, a lower price per second of video, or a workspace that also handles the copy and images around the video.
This guide covers seven alternatives. We make Endless, which is on the list, so read that section with that in mind. Where another tool is the better fit, we say so.
How we compared them
We read each company's homepage and pricing page and link every price to its source. Prices are in US dollars, monthly unless we say otherwise, and several sites were running promotions. We describe what each company says its product does; this is not a hands-on benchmark of video quality.
What Runway offers today
Runway's free plan gives 125 one-time credits. Standard is $15 a month ($12 on yearly billing, 625 credits), Pro $35 ($28 yearly, 2,250 credits) and Max $95 ($76 yearly, 9,500 credits). Paid plans include Gen-4.5 and third-party models such as Kling 3.0, Nano Banana Pro and, from Pro, Seedance 2.5; Pro adds the Runway MCP and custom voices. A Gen-4.5 video costs 60 credits per 5 seconds. Source: Runway pricing.

Endless

What it is. A shared workspace where a team picks a chat, image, video or audio model for each task and everyone spends from one credit balance.
Best for. Marketing teams and agencies whose video is one part of a campaign, next to the script, the stills and the research.
Key features.
- Video models from several makers: Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, Kling Video v3 and O3, Veo 3.1, FLUX 3 Video and MiniMax H3, plus lip-sync models. The models page shows each one's cost in credits.
- Image, audio and chat models in the same workspace, and a canvas to lay the work out.
- Projects that keep a brand's voice, references and rules for every chat and generation.
- One credit pool with spending limits per person and per team, and a remote MCP server on every plan.
Pricing. Free with 50 credits a week. Hobby $23 a month for one person, Basic $49 for up to 10 seats and Pro $99 for up to 50 seats. A Veo 3.1 video starts at 13 credits and a Seedance 2.5 video at 51. Endless pricing.
Limits. Endless doesn't run Runway's own models (Gen-4.5, Aleph) or Luma's Ray. If you cut and grade video inside one tool, Runway has more editing tools. The REST API is part of the Business plan.
Endless vs Runway, fact by fact
Kling

What it is. Kuaishou's video and image generator, with its own Kling models (its homepage leads with Kling 4.0).
Best for. Creators who want Kling's newest model first, with native 4K and sound.
Key features. Audio-visual generation, image-to-video with character references, storyboards from a single image, image series and a developer API.
Pricing. Standard was $10 a month (660 credits) and Pro $37 (3,000 credits), with 30% off the first month. Subscribers get daily free credits. Kling membership plans.
Limits. It's built around Kling's own models. Prices per credit change by plan and promotions run often, so compare the per-video cost before buying.
Google Flow

What it is. Google's AI creative studio, built on Google's generative models, for making scenes and short stories.
Best for. People who want Veo and Google's other models and already pay for a Google AI plan.
Key features. Scene building, a community gallery of tools, Flow Music and custom tool creation.
Pricing. Flow credits come with Google's AI plans: Google AI Plus ($4.99 a month) includes 200, Google AI Pro ($19.99) includes 1,000, and Ultra starts at $99.99. Google AI plans, US prices.
Limits. Google models only, and features vary by plan, platform and region. You buy it as part of a Google subscription, not as a separate video tool.
Luma

What it is. Luma builds its own models (Ray 3.2 for video, Uni-1 for images) and an agent that researches, generates and refines from a brief.
Best for. Teams that want an agent to produce many variations, and Ray's camera control.
Key features. Ray 3.2 with HDR and EXR output, video-to-video, reframe, third-party models and Luma Skills to reuse a workflow.
Pricing. Plus is $30 a month (10,000 credits), Pro $90 (40,000) and Ultra $300 (150,000). Team and Enterprise are on request. A Ray 3.2 1080p video costs 400 credits per 5 seconds. Luma pricing.
Limits. The pricing page shows no free plan, and team features (shared credits, SSO) need a sales conversation.
Higgsfield

What it is. A video-first platform with cinematic camera presets, apps and many image and video models.
Best for. Social video and ads where a ready-made camera move or effect saves time.
Key features. Cinema Studio, Higgsfield's own apps, Seedance and Kling models, an MCP server for Claude and a separate API.
Pricing. Starter is $15 a month billed yearly (200 credits), Plus $49 ($39 yearly, 1,000 credits) and Ultra $129 ($99 yearly). Team plans start at $65 per seat a month, for 2 to 15 seats with pooled credits. Higgsfield pricing.
Limits. Many offers are time-limited ("unlimited" models for a number of days), so the regular price is harder to work out. No chat models to pick from.
Endless vs Higgsfield, fact by fact
Pika

What it is. A creative platform with video, image and sound tools on top of several generative models.
Best for. Creators who want simple, focused tools rather than a full suite.
Key features. Clips up to 30 seconds with several shots, extending a clip, recurring characters, product images and Pika Soundtrack, which adds sound effects, voice and music matched to the video. There's an API.
Pricing. Free with credit packs only. Starter is $10 a month (900 credits), Creator $35 (3,150 credits) and Fancy from $95 to $880. Pika pricing.
Limits. No team plan below Enterprise, and early access to new models starts at $440 a month.
Hailuo

What it is. MiniMax's video app, with its own models (its homepage leads with MiniMax H3) and an agent.
Best for. Trying MiniMax's newest video model as soon as it ships.
Key features. Text-to-video and image-to-video, reference-based generation, image and audio tools and ready-made templates.
Pricing. Plans start at $9.99 a month, and new users get free credits. Hailuo.
Limits. It's built around MiniMax's models, and we found no team plan on the site. Endless offers MiniMax H3 too, next to other video models.

FAQ
What is the best free Runway alternative?
Kling, Pika, Hailuo, Higgsfield and Endless each have some free allowance. Runway itself gives 125 one-time credits.
Which Runway alternative has the most video models?
Platforms that host several makers' models: Higgsfield, Endless and Runway itself (which now includes Kling and Seedance). Single-company tools like Kling, Luma and Hailuo focus on their own models.
Can I use Kling or Veo without a separate subscription?
Yes. Endless offers Kling Video v3 and O3 and Veo 3.1 from the same credit balance as its image and chat models. Runway also includes Kling 3.0 on its paid plans.
Which one is best for a marketing team?
If several people need to make video and spend from one budget, look at team plans: Runway, Higgsfield and Luma sell them, and Endless pools credits for the whole workspace with limits per person and team.
