What is Higgsfield: features, pricing, free plan and alternatives
Higgsfield is a video-first AI studio with cinematic presets, its own Soul image models and dozens of third-party video models. What it does, who it is for, what it costs and where it falls short.

Higgsfield is an AI studio for making video and images, built around cinematic camera work. You pick a model (Seedance, Kling, Veo, Sora, Wan or one of Higgsfield's own), a preset or a "studio", and it generates the clip. Its about page says it launched in 2025, is based in San Francisco and has more than 25 million users.
This guide covers what Higgsfield does, who it is for, what it costs and where it falls short. Everything comes from Higgsfield's own pages. We make Endless, a competing workspace, so read the alternatives section with that in mind.
Who Higgsfield is for
Higgsfield's own pitch names three groups: first-time creators, marketing agencies and filmmakers. In practice it suits people whose output is mostly short video: social clips, product ads, UGC-style videos and music-video edits. If most of your week is writing, research or work across many formats, it covers only part of it.
Main features
- Cinema Studio. Its "flagship" workspace for cinematic scenes, with camera and lens controls, color grading and multi-shot videos.
- Studios for specific jobs. Marketing Studio (ads from a product link), Lipsync Studio, Photodump (one character across many scenes), Fashion Factory and AI Influencer.
- Genjutsu. Takes the motion of a video and recasts it with your own characters, locations or products, or swaps one element and keeps the rest.
- Soul. Higgsfield's own image models (Soul 2.0, Soul Cinema, Soul ID for a consistent character), aimed at fashion and editorial looks.
- Supercomputer. A chat-style agent ("powered by GPT-6 Astra", per the homepage) with projects, skills and connectors that runs whole jobs, from a podcast cut into Reels to a UGC ad.
- Canvas. A board for moodboards and chained workflows that you can share with your team.
- Effects, presets and a community feed where you can open a project and see the prompts and assets behind it.
Models
The pricing page lists credit costs for a long list of video models: Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, Kling 2.1 to 3.0, Sora 2, Google Veo 3 and 3.1, Wan 2.2 to 3.0, MiniMax Hailuo and Higgsfield's own DoP models. For images it lists Nano Banana (including Pro and 2), Seedream, GPT Image, FLUX.2, Reve and the Soul family. Lip-sync has its own set of models.
What it doesn't list is chat models. You can't pick Claude, GPT or Gemini to write a script or a caption the way you pick a video model.
Pricing
Prices from the Higgsfield pricing page. The page defaults to annual billing.

| Plan | Price | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | "Limited use" |
| Starter | $15 a month (same price monthly or annually) | 200 |
| Plus | $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually | 1,000 |
| Ultra | $129 a month, or $99 a month billed annually | 3,000 (up to 9,000 by tier) |
| For teams | From $65 per seat a month | From 1,000 per seat, pooled |
A few things the page makes clear:
- Credits are spent per generation, at a rate set per model and resolution. On the same page, a Nano Banana Pro image costs 2 credits and 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p costs about 7.
- "Unlimited" models are time-boxed (for example 7 days on Plus and Ultra) and, in Higgsfield's words, are "accessible only via higgsfield.ai and are not accessible on MCP/CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer".
- Team plans take 2 to 15 seats per workspace, with a shared credit pool, admin spend control, custom SSO and a priority queue.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The comparison table lists a Free plan with "limited use" and no fixed credit number. Starter is the cheapest paid plan, and the page says Starter gets access to "selected models only".
API and MCP
Higgsfield sells an API as a separate product at
open.higgsfield.ai, priced in US dollars
per second of video or per image, with its own dashboard and billing. Its
MCP server (https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp) connects ChatGPT, Claude,
Claude Code and Telegram, and there is a CLI too. The
MCP page lists ready-made skills such as an ad
recreator, a hook multiplier and a UGC product review.

Strengths
- Many video features: cinematic presets, motion transfer, lip-sync and many video models in one place.
- Its own image models (Soul) for fashion and editorial looks.
- Many studios built for one job each, so you rarely start from a blank prompt.
- An MCP server, a CLI and a separate API for developers.
Limits
- No chat models to choose from. Scripts, captions and research need a second tool.
- Team plans are priced per seat, so each person you add costs more.
- The "unlimited" offers are time-boxed and don't apply through MCP, Canvas or Supercomputer.
- The API is billed separately from your plan.
Alternatives to Higgsfield
- Endless. A shared workspace where the team picks a chat, image, video or audio model for each task and everyone spends from one credit balance, with no per-seat price. Projects keep a brand's voice, references and rules for every chat and generation, and the same workspace transcribes recordings and tracks social. The free plan gives 50 credits every week, paid plans start at $23 a month, and the MCP server works on every plan. The REST API is part of the Business plan. Where Higgsfield is stronger: it has more video presets and studios. Endless vs Higgsfield, fact by fact
- Krea. An image and video suite with its own Krea models, real-time generation, 22K upscaling and a Business plan that covers up to 50 seats for one price. What is Krea
- Pollo AI. Another video-first suite with an agent, a Marketing Studio for ads and its own Pollo video models. What is Pollo AI
- OpenArt. Strong on consistent characters and story videos, with Director for chat-driven video. What is OpenArt
